The HCHiP Semiconductor Competence Centre aims to provide access to
to the domestic and European chip infrastructure, based on a sustainable business model,
in line with Hungarian and EU chip strategies. The Centre is actively involved in
building the European semiconductor ecosystem.

Main tasks:

  • Developing domestic competences and knowledge, with a special focus on heterogeneous integration.
  • Identifying and internationalising innovative solutions.
  • Involving domestic actors in international cooperation.
  • Connecting and collaborating with other European centres of excellence in chips.

Priority objectives:

  • Alleviating the skills shortage, including micro-certification-based training.
  • Support for SMEs and companies in micro- and nanotechnologies.
  • Technology transfer support from idea to pilot production.
  • Promoting access to the European Chip Fund.
  • Improving the visibility and accessibility of competences.
