In the tender, Bay Zoltán Ltd. in cooperation with the experts of the PTE ETH, set a threefold goal:
- In addition to the robots that are well known in the healthcare sector and have been used in practice for many years (e.g.: logistics, surgical, rehabilitation, disinfection robots), a new field of care we want to use robotic tools. In our research, we will not only investigate nursing activities and select those that are economically feasible from a robotisation perspective, but also explore the acceptance of both patients and nurses, and based on this, create a demonstration robot-assisted nursing system.
- The objective assessment of chronic wounds (e.g., bedsores) based on the current commonly used instrumentation is a complex, time-consuming and highly skilled task. We aim to categorise chronic wounds and determine the degree of change in condition based on processing algorithms using sensor fusion techniques and artificial intelligence.
- We want to improve the efficiency of the nurse’s work by using smartglasses and other sensors integrated in smartglasses (e.g. thermo-camera).
