The overall aim of the project is to establish an automotive R&D centre in Kecskemét, and to build a regional knowledge centre for engine and vehicle development. The joint research and development programme will deliver technology and know-how developments related to industrial research that can also make a significant contribution to future next-generation emission reduction trends. A further objective is to integrate higher education and the infrastructure of domestic research institutions and to strengthen specialised training in the automotive sector. The aim of the research is to develop and analyse primary and secondary emission reduction techniques that can be applied to different types of vehicles and power outputs. The project will also contribute to the sector priorities of advanced vehicle and other engineering technologies and sustainable environment. The R&D activities will aim at developing and applying advanced automotive and smart technologies to reduce emissions by improving engine and powertrain performance in the automotive and mechanical engineering industry, thereby improving environmental sustainability and efficient natural resource management. The project was successfully completed on 30.09.2023. The project was supported by the Hungarian State and co-financed by the European Union. Consortium partners
