The EURAXIND project is aims to strengthen academic-business cooperation, involving the widest possible range of researchers and companies. EURAXIND’s objectives are based on two ERA (European Research Area) priorities:
- a labour market open to researchers
- the proper flow and transfer of scientific knowledge and optimal access to it.
We aim to deliver on our priorities by creating opportunities for our partner organisations to engage with industry, create opportunities for collaboration and then build strategic partnerships. We will also promote the employment of highly qualified researchers in industry. EURAXIND will also contribute to the long-term priorities of ERA and thus to Europe’s economic prosperity.
The two main outputs of the project are the Career Development in Industry module and the Building Relationships with Employers toolkit.
- Industry Career Development Module
As a first major project outcome, we have created an online module freely accessible to individual researchers. The aim of the module is to facilitate the mapping of researcher mobility opportunities across sectors, to identify the skills of individual researchers in relation to the skills required in each sector and to help them introduce themselves to the industry sector. - Employer Engagement Toolkit
The second main outcome of the project is the creation of a toolkit, also online and freely accessible.
The aim is to provide EURAXESS centres with resources, advice and information to help them engage with business. The toolkit contains information on the research labour market and the applicability of research skills in different sectors, so that EURAXESS staff can negotiate more confidently with business.
The project team will organise a one-day an employer workshop organised in all seven project countries. The main aim of the workshops was to present the project results and to solicit feedback from employers, as well as to promote the use of the EURAXESS Jobs website. The project team organised a two-day EURAXESS workshops also organised in all seven project countries. The main objectives of the workshops were to present the project results and to solicit feedback from local members of the EURAXESS network and to promote the use of the tools developed in the interactions between academia and industry.
