European Database for Multiscale Modelling of Radiation Damage
Researchers are investigating radiation damage to reactor pressure vessels (RPVs) in nuclear power plants to obtain vital information for integrity assessment. To further this aim, the EU-funded ENTENTE project is developing a European database of experimental and modelling data on radiation-induced brittleness, where data from previous EU-funded projects and ENTENTE will be collected, structured and stored. To fill knowledge gaps, new experiments and models will be created and process-structure-property-performance workflows based on artificial intelligence tools will be developed to make reliable use of new and existing data, using data-driven modelling techniques and data informatics. International collaboration is ensured through consortium participation from Japan and Ukraine, and close links with the NEA, IAEA and other EU-funded database development projects.
The project is supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 EURATOM programme.
Project period: 2020.09.01 – 2024. 08. 30.
Partners:
Most of the 27 consortium partners are various public nuclear energy authorities and research institutes and universities. In addition to EU Member States, institutions from Japan and Ukraine have joined the consortium.
