CirclELab Bay Zoltán Kutatóközpont

The CirclELab project was launched on 1 January 2020 with the support of an international consortium, coordinated by the Spanish Gomez Pardo Foundation and with the active participation of Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd.

The primary aim of the project is to give both students aged 10-18 and their teachers a deeper understanding of the Circular Economy: more specifically, how much can be done with the industrial waste generated in everyday life and how the raw materials they contain can be recycled and reused in different stages of the economic process. Through a specially designed educational methodology, the project will enable students to learn about the raw materials that can be extracted from waste in laboratory conditions and through individually designed experiments, and to actively participate in a pilot project to create a marketable product from the extracted waste through the right processes.

The project has been set up for a period of 12 months and pilot workshops will be carried out in Hungary alongside the international consortium’s partners in Spain, Italy, France and Belgium.

The project is supported by the EIT KIC Raw Materials.
