A BusiSource, Waste from companies as a secondary source project, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and obsolete electrical and electronic equipment can be a secondary source of metals. Several new methods and systems for collecting them have been developed in recent years. The project aims to collect and disseminate technologies that enable the recycling of electronic waste and to change the mindset and provide information to businesses that produce above-average amounts of such waste. Therefore, the project targets WEEE collectors, logistics, repair and refurbishment companies and factories. The consortium will also organise open events for the target groups in Hungary, where we will show how companies can reduce their costs or generate additional revenue by using WEEE.

The project is supported by the EIT KCI Raw Materials and will run from April 2017 to January 2020.

The partner countries of the project are Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Germany

The Hungarian partner of the project is the Bay Zoltán Research Institute.
