Bay Zoltán Applied Research Nonprofit Ltd. participates in the “BioEconomy Market Uptake and Policy Support in Central Europe” (BIOECO-UP) project.
The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the circular, biomass-based economy in the Central European region. This will be achieved by facilitating the development of new transnational biomass-based industrial value chains and supporting biomass-based innovation. Its aim is to help develop informed consumer behaviour and knowledge of bio-economic areas, and to shape people’s attitudes towards the use of biomass-based products.
It also provides policy support to policy makers by producing effective bioeconomic action guidelines, strategic guidelines and action plans.
The project will result in new transnational biomass-based value chains and products that can be validated by end-users. Sustainability and policy change will be ensured by high-level policy partners and associated partners (6 national ministries and 5 ministerial policy advisors).
Transnational cooperation is key because BIOECO-UP complements the BIOEAST initiative.
