Our services include micro- and macroscopic metallographic analysis using state-of-the-art preparation and analysis technologies. The microstructural analyses include the grain size, phase composition, crystal structure, tissue elements and possible alterations (e.g. grain boundary precipitates, cracks, inclusions). Macroscopic analyses can also be used to identify manufacturing defects, casting anomalies or heat treatment problems over the entire cross-section.
Our material structure testing provides a precise background for production control, failure detection, material qualification and long-term reliability assessment – whether for automotive components, energy systems or heavy-duty industrial equipment.
The aim of the Bay Zoltán Research Institute is to provide its partners with up-to-date scientific and technological support in identifying material structure problems and promoting quality product development.
