A Hungarian Chamber of Health Care Professionals (MESZK) “Innovative support options for nurses’ care E/M Health and robotic nursing” held its XV Scientific Day event in Pécs on 25 November.
At the event, held at the South Transdanubian Regional Library and Knowledge Centre, the Research and development achieved in our FIEK project in Pécs “The challenges of robotic nursing” was presented by our colleague Dezső Vass (principal researcher, clinical engineer, project leader).
András Leleszi and our research colleague András Leleszi made a presentation to healthcare professionals to show the aspects and conditions under which robots can be involved in acute patient care. They also discussed the diagnostic and nursing tasks in which robots can provide effective assistance, and the conditions to be met when measuring physiological parameters with the help of robots in order to be considered as authentic and valid data.
At the event, healthcare professionals also involved in the robotic nursing support project – Dr András Oláh (Head of Professional Practice, PTE-ETK) and Gyula Kovács-Szebeni (Lecturer in Nursing, PTE-ETK) demonstrated the health professional side of the same issue from the nurses’ perspective.
A career guidance short film made by MESZK was screened at the PTE-ETK skill-lab, filmed with child actors from Pécs about the robotised nursing support. The video is available here:
