The overall aim of the Raw Matters Ambassadors at Schools 4.0 (RM@Schools4.0) project is to raise awareness of the importance of raw materials and secondary raw materials among students aged 10-19. To do this, it uses interactive experiments, games and activities that allow the experiences gathered to promote science and technology in schools and bring raw materials-related professions closer to students. Students aged 14-19 are also involved in science dissemination to become RM Ambassadors themselves.

The project aims to:

  • promoting the concept of the circular economy among young people,
  • developing new educational tools to reach young people using augmented reality and digital tools,
  • the further development and promotion of “train-the-trainer-programmes”,
  • disseminate the RM@Schools project results and approach through activities within schools;
  • further increase the number of countries participating in the programme,
  • expand the European network of schools, companies, universities and research institutions,
  • a renewed approach to education, taking into account the specificities of the partner countries.

The project also aims to support students to compete internationally and build personal contacts abroad, giving young people the chance to experience the opportunities and benefits of European cooperation.
